6 Things We’re Looking Forward to at NeoCon 2026

NeoCon is at THE MART June 7–10, and this year, the week starts a little earlier. For the first time, NeoCon is opening with a Sunday Preview Day, which feels like a very welcome way to ease into a week that is usually full in the best possible way.

You’ll find Watson in Suite 341 on the third floor, where we’ll be sharing new introductions, customer-inspired settings, and a refreshed showroom. We’re excited for the usual reasons: seeing people, walking the floors, catching up with partners, and spending a few days inside the kind of conversations that only happen when the whole industry is in one place. But a few things are standing out already, and they say a lot about what we’re looking forward to this year.

1. Preview Day gives everyone a little more room to look

The new Sunday Preview Day is high on our list because first looks are better when they do not feel rushed. NeoCon can move quickly once Monday hits, so we like the idea of starting with a little more breathing room. Preview Day gives people a chance to walk through the showroom, settle in, ask questions, and spend more time with the details before the full pace of the week begins. If you are someone who likes to look closely and really understand what you are seeing, this is a good day to book a tour and come by.

2. The programming has real stakes this year

The programming we’re watching most closely centers on AI, workplace change, and generational expectations. Those are big topics, but at their best, they all come back to a very practical question: how do we create spaces that help people work better?

That feels especially relevant this year. AI is changing how teams plan, test, and make decisions. Younger generations are bringing new expectations into the workplace. And across the industry, there is a growing focus on spaces that support focus, collaboration, wellbeing, and flexibility in ways people can feel.

We’ve been thinking about these ideas in our own writing, including our articles on AI in space planning and Gen Z in the workplace, so we’re looking forward to seeing how those conversations continue to evolve at NeoCon.

3. The trends are getting more human

Based on what we’re seeing across the industry, we expect this year’s NeoCon floor to feel more expressive, more flexible, and more tuned in to how people use space throughout the day.

We’re watching for modular and sculptural forms, richer color palettes, mobility, adaptability, and workplace environments with more warmth, texture, and personality. The common thread seems to be a move toward spaces that can do more without feeling overworked, with furniture that supports different ways of working and still gives the room a clear point of view.

So yes, we’re expecting more color, more movement, and more products designed to flex when teams, projects, and plans inevitably do what they do best: change.

4. Seeing products in person still changes everything

One of the best things about NeoCon is how much happens when the industry is together in one place. Designers, dealers, partners, and longtime friends all get to move through the same spaces, compare notes, and talk through what they are seeing as it is happening.

That kind of in-person time matters because products are easier to understand when you can experience them at full scale. You notice how a finish responds to light, how a table supports the way people gather, how storage feels in reach, or how a setting changes as you move through it. The details that are hard to explain on a screen tend to make sense very quickly in the room.

That is what we want our showroom to do: give people time to look closely, ask better questions, and understand how our products can support the way they work.

5. Awards season gives us a read on where things are headed

Awards are not the whole story, but they can be a useful signal. Best of NeoCon, HiP, showroom competitions, and the broader design recognition happening around the show all give a sense of where the industry is putting its attention next.

We’re always interested in what gets recognized: new materials, smarter systems, stronger sustainability stories, better user experiences, more flexible product thinking. Those moments can say a lot about what the market values and where design is headed. Watson has a history of participating in and winning awards at NeoCon, and while we’ll always appreciate that recognition, the bigger value is being part of the conversation. The best work in this industry usually comes with a real point of view and a real problem to solve.

That is the work we’re excited to see.

6. We’re ready to show what’s new

This year feels like an important moment for Watson.

We’ll be introducing Vero in the showroom, a new office system designed for detail-driven work with generous surfaces, integrated storage, and a quieter kind of refinement. We’re also doing something a little different this year with our theme Built to Reflect You, creating customer-inspired vignettes that show how our products respond to specific needs, settings, and ways of working.

More than anything, we’re excited to bring people into a showroom that reflects where Watson is headed. The story feels clearer, the direction feels sharper, and the connection to the customers, designers, dealers, and teams who shape what we build feels stronger than ever.

If you’re heading to NeoCon, come find us in Suite 341. We’d love to walk you through what’s new, talk through what’s changing, and spend time together in the showroom. We’re excited to see you there.
